At Old Rayne Preschool, we are a friendly and caring preschool offering the very best in early years education to children aged from 3 to 5 years old. We believe every child is unique, individual, and full of potential. We have strong links with our community and pride ourselves on having a nurturing environment. Our caring and experienced staff help plan creative and fun activities through high-quality play, linking learning to the Curriculum for Excellence. We enjoy taking our learning further by exploring the outdoors, which includes our mud garden, the local area, Forest School sessions at Bennachie and regular trips to places of interest. We help develop children's confidence, friendships and a love for discovery through play.

Rooted In Our Community
Old Rayne Preschool operates from the St Lawrence Hall in Old Rayne and has served the local community since January 1975.
We are a member of Early Years Scotland and are registered with Aberdeenshire Council to provide commissioned places.
Nurturing little minds for a brighter future
We have strong links with Old Rayne Primary School and other schools in the surrounding area. We support the Old Rayne Community Association (ORCA) in fundraising events in the village.

We just LOVE this preschool! My son’s learning so much, has made great friendships, all supported by the most awesome staff. Forest school (every Friday in the warmer terms) is a huge hit and a real benefit to being at a smaller, rural setting. Getting him up and out the door is never a problem when it’s a preschool day!
